The Hill Complex comes from the challenge I put on my self to express the daily thought processes I have into songs. With these songs it was an opportunity to give a peek into my world; my experiences, expectations, and goals among many things. I’ve been only writing to this point a year and a half and felt moving forward I needed more than a distinct voice and dope lines but to identify myself with these songs. In our daily lives we go in and out of good states of mind and the lyrics to these songs were like diary entries written to be revisited to remind myself why I think I can do this music thing. Moving forward I hope completing a project like the Hill Complex increases my talent to provide a platform to express who I am and the freedom to just do me and create something made purely from my passion of making music. The Hill Complex is the product of a decision to change my way of thinking from just being sick of tired of not trying. I’m writing this at the job that I’ve outgrown so mind the typos, not making sense and all that but listening to The Hill Complex will paint a better picture that I’m out to go and get it.
